    Aberrant Crypt Foci of the Mouse Intestinal Tract

    Definition 1

    An intestinal tract lesion where one or more crypts are enlarged and elevated above the surrounding mucosa. Additionally, these crypts often have a slit-shaped luminal opening. Cells are methylene blue positive on whole-mount sections of the intestinal mucosa. (NCI Thesaurus)
