Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitor
Any substance that inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AchE), an enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine (Ach) in the synaptic cleft. Inhibition of acetylcholinesterase results in an increase in the level and duration of action of acetylcholine. (NCI Thesaurus)
