Achromobacter xylosoxidans
Definition 1
A species of aerobic, Gram negative bacteria assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This bacteria is motile by flagella, urease negative, oxidase and catalase positive, ferments glucose, and hydrolyzes esculin. A. xylosoxidans infection may occur in immunocompromised patients. (NCI Thesaurus)
