    Acidovorax facilis

    Definition 1

    A species of aerobic, Gram negative, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This bacteria is motile by a single polar flagellum, oxidase and catalase positive, chemoorganotrophic, gelatinase positive and can grow on L tryptophan culture. A. facilis was originally isolated from soil and is used as a soil inoculant in horticulture and agriculture. (NCI Thesaurus)
