    Actinomyces neuii

    Definition 1

    A species of anaerobic, Gram positive, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Actinobacteria. This bacteria is catalase positive, not beta hemolytic and sensitive to beta lactam antibiotics. A. neuii is rarely pathogenic in humans but may cause neonatal sepsis. (NCI Thesaurus)
