AFF1 wt Allele
Human AFF1 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 4q21 and is approximately 206 kb in length. This allele, which encodes AF4/FMR2 family member 1 protein, is involved in the modulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Several acute leukemias are associated with the translocation t(4;11)(q21;q23) of the gene and the MLL gene. (NCI Thesaurus)
