    “सत्तिमे, भिक्खवे, पुग्गला आहुनेय्या …पे… दक्खिणेय्या अञ्जलिकरणीया अनुत्तरं पुञ्ञक्खेत्तं लोकस्स। कतमे सत्त?

    “Sattime, bhikkhave, puggalā āhuneyyā …pe… dakkhiṇeyyā añjalikaraṇīyā anuttaraṁ puññakkhettaṁ lokassa. Katame satta?

    “Bhikkhus, these seven people are worthy of offerings dedicated to the gods, worthy of hospitality, worthy of a religious donation, worthy of greeting with joined palms, and are the supreme field of merit for the world. What seven?

    इध, भिक्खवे, एकच्चो पुग्गलो चक्खुस्मिं अनिच्चानुपस्सी विहरति अनिच्चसञ्ञी अनिच्चपटिसंवेदी सततं समितं अब्बोकिण्णं चेतसा अधिमुच्चमानो पञ्ञाय परियोगाहमानो। सो आसवानं खया अनासवं चेतोविमुत्तिं पञ्ञाविमुत्तिं दिट्ठेव धम्मे सयं अभिञ्ञा सच्छिकत्वा उपसम्पज्ज विहरति। अयं खो, भिक्खवे, पठमो पुग्गलो आहुनेय्यो पाहुनेय्यो …पे… अनुत्तरं पुञ्ञक्खेत्तं लोकस्स।

    Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo cakkhusmiṁ aniccānupassī viharati aniccasaññī aniccapaṭisaṁvedī satataṁ samitaṁ abbokiṇṇaṁ cetasā adhimuccamāno paññāya pariyogāhamāno. So āsavānaṁ khayā anāsavaṁ cetovimuttiṁ paññāvimuttiṁ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṁ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharati. Ayaṁ kho, bhikkhave, paṭhamo puggalo āhuneyyo pāhuneyyo …pe… anuttaraṁ puññakkhettaṁ lokassa.

    First, take a person who meditates observing impermanence in the eye. They perceive impermanence and experience impermanence. Constantly, continually, and without interruption, they apply the mind and fathom with wisdom. They realize the undefiled freedom of heart and freedom by wisdom in this very life. And they live having realized it with their own insight due to the ending of defilements. This is the first person who is worthy of offerings dedicated to the gods, worthy of hospitality, worthy of a religious donation, worthy of greeting with joined palms, and is the supreme field of merit for the world.

    पुन चपरं, भिक्खवे, इधेकच्चो पुग्गलो चक्खुस्मिं अनिच्चानुपस्सी विहरति अनिच्चसञ्ञी अनिच्चपटिसंवेदी सततं समितं अब्बोकिण्णं चेतसा अधिमुच्चमानो पञ्ञाय परियोगाहमानो। तस्स अपुब्बं अचरिमं आसवपरियादानञ्च होति जीवितपरियादानञ्च। अयं, भिक्खवे, दुतियो पुग्गलो आहुनेय्यो …पे… अनुत्तरं पुञ्ञक्खेत्तं लोकस्स।

    Puna caparaṁ, bhikkhave, idhekacco puggalo cakkhusmiṁ aniccānupassī viharati aniccasaññī aniccapaṭisaṁvedī satataṁ samitaṁ abbokiṇṇaṁ cetasā adhimuccamāno paññāya pariyogāhamāno. Tassa apubbaṁ acarimaṁ āsavapariyādānañca hoti jīvitapariyādānañca. Ayaṁ, bhikkhave, dutiyo puggalo āhuneyyo …pe… anuttaraṁ puññakkhettaṁ lokassa.

    uddhaṁsoto hoti akaniṭṭhagāmī. Ayaṁ, bhikkhave, sattamo puggalo āhuneyyo …pe… anuttaraṁ puññakkhettaṁ lokassa.

    With the ending of the five lower fetters they head upstream, going to the Akaniṭṭha realm. … This is the seventh person.

    इमे खो, भिक्खवे, सत्त पुग्गला आहुनेय्या पाहुनेय्या दक्खिणेय्या अञ्जलिकरणीया अनुत्तरं पुञ्ञक्खेत्तं लोकस्सा”ति।

    Ime kho, bhikkhave, satta puggalā āhuneyyā pāhuneyyā dakkhiṇeyyā añjalikaraṇīyā anuttaraṁ puññakkhettaṁ lokassā”ti.

    सञ्ञा सञ्चेतना तण्हा, वितक्केसु विचारे च; गोचरस्स विसुं अट्ठ, पञ्चक्खन्धे च पच्चेके।

    Saññā sañcetanā taṇhā, vitakkesu vicāre ca; Gocarassa visuṁ aṭṭha, pañcakkhandhe ca pacceke.

    सोळसस्वेत्थ मूलेसु, अनिच्चं दुक्खमनत्ता; खया वया विरागा च, निरोधा पटिनिस्सग्गा।

    Soḷasasvettha mūlesu, aniccaṁ dukkhamanattā; Khayā vayā virāgā ca, nirodhā paṭinissaggā.

    कमं अट्ठानुपस्सना, योजेत्वान विसुं विसुं; सम्पिण्डितेसु सब्बेसु, होन्ति पञ्च सतानि च; अट्ठवीसति सुत्तानि, आहुनेय्ये च वग्गिके”।

    Kamaṁ aṭṭhānupassanā, yojetvāna visuṁ visuṁ; Sampiṇḍitesu sabbesu, honti pañca satāni ca; Aṭṭhavīsati suttāni, āhuneyye ca vaggike”.

    आहुनेय्यवग्गो दसमो।
