    Alstrom Syndrome

    A rare autosomal recessive syndrome caused by mutations in the gene ALMS1. Signs and symptoms include blindness, obesity, hearing loss, endocrine abnormalities, cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure, hepatic and renal failure. (NCI Thesaurus)
