Alunbrig
Pronunciation
A drug used to treat non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and has a mutated (changed) form of a gene called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). It is used in patients whose cancer has gotten worse during treatment with or who cannot take crizotinib (a type of anticancer drug). Alunbrig blocks certain proteins made by the mutated ALK gene. Blocking these proteins may stop the growth and spread of cancer cells. Alunbrig is a type of tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Also called brigatinib. (NCI Dictionary)
