Amlodipine Besylate/Benazepril Hydrochloride
Having a substantial blood pressure lowering capability, Amlodipine Besylate Benazepril Hydrochloride contains a dihydropyridine calcium blocker (amlodipine) and an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor (benazepril). A long-acting calcium channel antagonist, Amlodipine inhibits transmembrane calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle. Blocking ACE, Benazepril decreases vasopressive plasma angiotensin II.
