Amniotic Band Syndrome
A rare congenital disorder which is caused by entrapment of anatomic parts of the fetus in fibrous amniotic bands during pregnancy. It may result in the formation of constriction rings around the digits and upper and lower extremities, swelling of the extremities and congenital amputations. (NCI Thesaurus)
