Anti-PD-1 Monoclonal Antibody AMP-514
A monoclonal antibody directed against the human programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) protein, with potential immunomodulating and antineoplastic activity. Although the exact mechanism of action is not reported, anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody AMP-514 potentially inhibits the activation of PD-1 and its downstream signaling pathways. This may restore immune function through the activation both of T-cells and cell-mediated immune responses against PD-1 overexpressing tumor cells. PD-1, a transmembrane protein in the Ig superfamily, negatively regulates T-cell activation and effector function when activated by its ligands, and plays an important role in tumor evasion from host immunity.
