Antirheumatic Preparation
Used systemically or topically, natural or synthetic Antirheumatic Preparations relieve and control the symptoms of rheumatic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis) by reducing inflammation and pain, or reinstating mobility and function of articulations. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), corticosteroids, and immunosuppressive cytotoxics are examples of antirheumatic agents. (NCI Thesaurus)
