    Not Giving Up

    “छ, भिक्खवे, धम्मे अप्पहाय अभब्बो दिट्ठिसम्पदं सच्छिकातुं। कतमे छ? सक्कायदिट्ठिं, विचिकिच्छं, सीलब्बतपरामासं, अपायगमनीयं रागं, अपायगमनीयं दोसं, अपायगमनीयं मोहं। इमे खो, भिक्खवे, छ धम्मे अप्पहाय अभब्बो दिट्ठिसम्पदं सच्छिकातुं।

    “Cha, bhikkhave, dhamme appahāya abhabbo diṭṭhisampadaṁ sacchikātuṁ. Katame cha? Sakkāyadiṭṭhiṁ, vicikicchaṁ, sīlabbataparāmāsaṁ, apāyagamanīyaṁ rāgaṁ, apāyagamanīyaṁ dosaṁ, apāyagamanīyaṁ mohaṁ. Ime kho, bhikkhave, cha dhamme appahāya abhabbo diṭṭhisampadaṁ sacchikātuṁ.

    “Bhikkhus, without giving up six things you can’t become accomplished in view. What six? Identity view, doubt, misapprehension of precepts and observances, and forms of greed, hate, and delusion that lead to rebirth in places of loss. Without giving up these six things you can’t become accomplished in view.

    छ, भिक्खवे, धम्मे पहाय भब्बो दिट्ठिसम्पदं सच्छिकातुं। कतमे छ? सक्कायदिट्ठिं, विचिकिच्छं, सीलब्बतपरामासं, अपायगमनीयं रागं, अपायगमनीयं दोसं, अपायगमनीयं मोहं। इमे खो, भिक्खवे, छ धम्मे पहाय भब्बो दिट्ठिसम्पदं सच्छिकातुन्”ति।
