    අරහාසුත්ත

    A Perfected One

    “ආරකත්තා අරහා හෝති. කතමේසං සත්තන්නං? සක්කායදිට්ඨි ආරකා හෝති, විචිකිච්ඡා ආරකා හෝති, සීලබ්බතපරාමාසෝ ආරකෝ හෝති, රාගෝ ආරකෝ හෝති, දෝසෝ ආරකෝ හෝති, මෝහෝ ආරකෝ හෝති, මානෝ ආරකෝ හෝති. ඉමේසං ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, සත්තන්නං ධම්මානං ආරකත්තා අරහා හෝතී”ති.

    “Bhikkhus, it’s by being far from seven things that you become a perfected one. What seven? Identity view, doubt, misapprehension of precepts and observances, greed, hate, delusion, and conceit. It’s because of being far from these seven things that you become a perfected one.”
