Perfection
“छ, भिक्खवे, धम्मे अप्पहाय अभब्बो अरहत्तं सच्छिकातुं। कतमे छ? थिनं, मिद्धं, उद्धच्चं, कुक्कुच्चं, अस्सद्धियं, पमादं—इमे खो, भिक्खवे, छ धम्मे अप्पहाय अभब्बो अरहत्तं सच्छिकातुं।
“Cha, bhikkhave, dhamme appahāya abhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ. Katame cha? Thinaṁ, middhaṁ, uddhaccaṁ, kukkuccaṁ, assaddhiyaṁ, pamādaṁ—ime kho, bhikkhave, cha dhamme appahāya abhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ.
“Bhikkhus, without giving up six things you can’t realize perfection. What six? Dullness, drowsiness, restlessness, remorse, lack of faith, and negligence. Without giving up these six things you can’t realize perfection.
छ, भिक्खवे, धम्मे पहाय भब्बो अरहत्तं सच्छिकातुं। कतमे छ? थिनं, मिद्धं, उद्धच्चं, कुक्कुच्चं, अस्सद्धियं, पमादं—इमे खो, भिक्खवे, छ धम्मे पहाय भब्बो अरहत्तं सच्छिकातुन्”ति।

After giving up six things you can realize perfection. What six? Dullness, drowsiness, restlessness, remorse, lack of faith, and negligence. After giving up these six things you can realize perfection.”
