The Teaching of the Noble Ones
“අරියධම්මඤ්ච වෝ, භික්ඛවේ, දේසේස්සාමි අනරියධම්මඤ්ච. තං සුණාථ …පේ… කතමෝ ච, භික්ඛවේ, අනරියෝ ධම්මෝ? පාණාතිපාතෝ …පේ… මිච්ඡාදිට්ඨි—අයං වුච්චති, භික්ඛවේ, අනරියෝ ධම්මෝ.
“Bhikkhus, I will teach you the teaching of the noble ones, and what is not the teaching of the noble ones. Listen and apply your mind well, I will speak. … And what is not the teaching of the noble ones? Killing living creatures … wrong view. This is called what is not the teaching of the noble ones.
කතමෝ ච, භික්ඛවේ, අරියෝ ධම්මෝ? පාණාතිපාතා වේරමණී …පේ… සම්මාදිට්ඨි—අයං වුච්චති, භික්ඛවේ, අරියෝ ධම්මෝ”ති.
And what is the teaching of the noble ones? Not killing living creatures … right view. This is called the teaching of the noble ones.”
