Gifts of a Bad Person
“पञ्चिमानि, भिक्खवे, असप्पुरिसदानानि। कतमानि पञ्च? असक्कच्चं देति, अचित्तीकत्वा देति, असहत्था देति, अपविद्धं देति, अनागमनदिट्ठिको देति। इमानि खो, भिक्खवे, पञ्च असप्पुरिसदानानि।
“Pañcimāni, bhikkhave, asappurisadānāni. Katamāni pañca? Asakkaccaṁ deti, acittīkatvā1 deti, asahatthā deti, apaviddhaṁ deti, anāgamanadiṭṭhiko deti. Imāni kho, bhikkhave, pañca asappurisadānāni.
“Bhikkhus, there are these five gifts of a bad person. What five? They give carelessly. They give thoughtlessly. They don’t give with their own hand. They give the dregs. They give without consideration for consequences. These are the five gifts of a bad person.
पञ्चिमानि, भिक्खवे, सप्पुरिसदानानि। कतमानि पञ्च? सक्कच्चं देति, चित्तीकत्वा देति, सहत्था देति, अनपविद्धं देति, आगमनदिट्ठिको देति। इमानि खो, भिक्खवे, पञ्च सप्पुरिसदानानी”ति।
