Astroviridae
A family of non-enveloped, spherical-shaped, capsid-enclosed viruses. The virus is icosahedral in shape with characteristic star-like surface projections. The genome is composed of a linear, non-segmented single-strand of positive sense RNA. Astroviridae infect vertebrates and are a causative agent of gastroenteritis in humans. (NCI Thesaurus)
