    ATIC/ALK Fusion Gene

    A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal inversion inv(2)(p23q35) which fuses the first 7 exons of the ATIC gene with exon 20 of the ALK gene. This rearrangement is associated with rare cases of anaplastic large cell lymphoma. (NCI Thesaurus)
