BCL2-associated Athanogene 5
Encoded by human BAG5 Gene (BAG1 Family), 447-aa 52-kD BCL2-associated Athanogene 5 contains 4 bag domains and, bound to HSP70/HSC ATPase domains, inhibits HSP70/HSC70 chaperone activity by promoting substrate release. A BAG domain near the C-terminus may bind HSC70/HSP70. (NCI Thesaurus)
