Bel
A logarithmic ratio unit (base-10 logarithms) used to express relative magnitude of a physical quantity (usually power or intensity) in comparison with a specified or implied reference level. Particularly, Bel is used as a unit of relative sound intensity. In the latter context it is equal to ten decibels or to approximately 1.151293 nepers. (NCI Thesaurus)
