    Carotid Body Paraganglioma

    Definition 1

    A benign or malignant extra-adrenal parasympathetic paraganglioma arising from paraganglia adjacent to or in the bifurcation of the common carotid artery. Most patients present with a slow growing, painless mass in the neck. (NCI Thesaurus)
