    Human CEACAM1 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 19q13.2 and is approximately 21 kb in length. This allele, which encodes carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1 protein, plays a role in cell-cell interactions in differentiation, angiogenesis, apoptosis, immune response, and tumorigenesis.
