CHIC2 wt Allele
Human CHIC2 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 4q11 and is approximately 55 kb in length. This allele, which encodes cysteine-rich hydrophobic domain 2 protein, may be involved in cellular vesicle transport. A translocation t(4;12)(q12;p13) of this gene and the ETV6 gene is associated with acute myeloid leukemia. (NCI Thesaurus)
