    Clofenamide

    A benzenedisulfonamide-based agent and carbonic anhydrase (CA) inhibitor with diuretic activity. Clofenamide inhibits CA, thereby preventing sodium, bicarbonate and thus water reabsorption in the proximal convoluted tubule resulting in diuresis. (NCI Thesaurus)
