Coagulation Factor III
Human coagulation factor-III protein (295 aa, 33 kDa precursor) is encoded by the human coagulation factor III (thromboplastin, tissue factor) (F3) gene. The factor is a glycoprotein/phospholipid, which functions as a potent high-affinity transmembrane receptor/cofactor for coagulation factor VII. The protein also plays an important role in blood coagulation. (NCI Thesaurus)
