Deimmunization
A laboratory procedure where the gene encoding a therapeutic recombinant protein is manipulated to minimize the immunogenicity of the protein. This is accomplished through directed mutagenesis of sequences encoding T cell-recognizable epitopes. (NCI Thesaurus)
