“तयोमे, भिक्खवे, धम्मा। कतमे तयो? कामधातु, ब्यापादधातु, विहिंसाधातु। इमे खो, भिक्खवे, तयो धम्मा। इमेसं खो, भिक्खवे, तिण्णं धम्मानं पहानाय तयो धम्मा भावेतब्बा। कतमे तयो? कामधातुया पहानाय नेक्खम्मधातु भावेतब्बा, ब्यापादधातुया पहानाय अब्यापादधातु भावेतब्बा, विहिंसाधातुया पहानाय अविहिंसाधातु भावेतब्बा। इमेसं खो, भिक्खवे, तिण्णं धम्मानं पहानाय इमे तयो धम्मा भावेतब्बा”ति।
“Tayome, bhikkhave, dhammā. Katame tayo? Kāmadhātu, byāpādadhātu, vihiṁsādhātu. Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo dhammā. Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, tiṇṇaṁ dhammānaṁ pahānāya tayo dhammā bhāvetabbā. Katame tayo? Kāmadhātuyā pahānāya nekkhammadhātu bhāvetabbā, byāpādadhātuyā pahānāya abyāpādadhātu bhāvetabbā, vihiṁsādhātuyā pahānāya avihiṁsādhātu bhāvetabbā. Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, tiṇṇaṁ dhammānaṁ pahānāya ime tayo dhammā bhāvetabbā”ti.
“Bhikkhus, there are these three things. What three? The elements of sensuality, malice, and cruelty. These are the three things. To give up these three things you should develop three things. What three? You should develop the element of renunciation to give up the element of sensuality, the element of good will to give up the element of malice, and the element of harmlessness to give up the element of cruelty. These are the three things you should develop to give up those three things.”
