DNA Topoisomerase II Binding Protein
Topoisomerase (DNA) II Binding Protein (TOPBP1), encoded by the TopBP1 gene, is a 173-kD binding protein that interacts with the C-terminal region of topoisomerase II beta. TOPBP1 may stimulate catalytic activity of topoisomerase II beta through transient breakages of DNA strands. (NCI Thesaurus/LocusLink)
