    Bad Conduct

    “තයෝමේ, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මා. කතමේ තයෝ? කායදුච්චරිතං, වචීදුච්චරිතං, මනෝදුච්චරිතං. ඉමේ ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, තයෝ ධම්මා. ඉමේසං ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, තිණ්ණං ධම්මානං පහානාය තයෝ ධම්මා භාවේතබ්බා. කතමේ තයෝ? කායදුච්චරිතස්ස පහානාය කායසුචරිතං භාවේතබ්බං, වචීදුච්චරිතස්ස පහානාය වචීසුචරිතං භාවේතබ්බං, මනෝදුච්චරිතස්ස පහානාය මනෝසුචරිතං භාවේතබ්බං. ඉමේසං ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, තිණ්ණං ධම්මානං පහානාය ඉමේ තයෝ ධම්මා භාවේතබ්බා”ති.

    “Bhikkhus, there are these three things. What three? Bad conduct by way of body, speech, and mind. These are the three things. To give up these three things you should develop three things. What three? You should develop good bodily conduct to give up bad bodily conduct, good verbal conduct to give up bad verbal conduct, and good mental conduct to give up bad mental conduct. These are the three things you should develop to give up those three things.”
