Result in Suffering
“दुक्खविपाकञ्च वो, भिक्खवे, धम्मं देसेस्सामि सुखविपाकञ्च। तं सुणाथ …पे… कतमो च, भिक्खवे, दुक्खविपाको धम्मो? मिच्छादिट्ठि …पे… मिच्छाविमुत्ति—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, दुक्खविपाको धम्मो। कतमो च, भिक्खवे, सुखविपाको धम्मो? सम्मादिट्ठि …पे… सम्माविमुत्ति—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, सुखविपाको धम्मो”ति।
“Dukkhavipākañca vo, bhikkhave, dhammaṁ desessāmi sukhavipākañca. Taṁ suṇātha …pe… katamo ca, bhikkhave, dukkhavipāko dhammo? Micchādiṭṭhi …pe… micchāvimutti—ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, dukkhavipāko dhammo. Katamo ca, bhikkhave, sukhavipāko dhammo? Sammādiṭṭhi …pe… sammāvimutti—ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, sukhavipāko dhammo”ti.
“I will teach you the principle that results in suffering and that which results in happiness. … And what principle results in suffering? Wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, wrong immersion, wrong knowledge, and wrong freedom. This is called the principle that results in suffering. And what principle results in happiness? Right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right immersion, right knowledge, and right freedom. This is called the principle that results in happiness.”
