“तिण्णं, भिक्खवे, पातुभावो दुल्लभो लोकस्मिं। कतमेसं तिण्णं? तथागतस्स, भिक्खवे, अरहतो सम्मासम्बुद्धस्स पातुभावो दुल्लभो लोकस्मिं, तथागतप्पवेदितस्स धम्मविनयस्स देसेता पुग्गलो दुल्लभो लोकस्मिं, कतञ्ञू कतवेदी पुग्गलो दुल्लभो लोकस्मिं। इमेसं खो, भिक्खवे, तिण्णं पातुभावो दुल्लभो लोकस्मिन्”ति।
“Tiṇṇaṁ, bhikkhave, pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmiṁ. Katamesaṁ tiṇṇaṁ? Tathāgatassa, bhikkhave, arahato sammāsambuddhassa pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmiṁ, tathāgatappaveditassa dhammavinayassa desetā puggalo dullabho lokasmiṁ, kataññū katavedī puggalo dullabho lokasmiṁ. Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, tiṇṇaṁ pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmin”ti.
“Bhikkhus, the appearance of three people is rare in the world. What three? A Realized One, a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha. A person who teaches the teaching and training proclaimed by a Realized One. A person who is grateful and thankful. The appearance of these three people is rare in the world.”
