Epothilone Compound
Definition 1
A class of compounds isolated from the myxobacterium Sorangium cellulosum. Similar to taxanes, epothilone compounds induce microtubule polymerization and stabilize microtubules against depolymerization conditions, thereby inhibiting mitosis. (NCI Thesaurus)
