    Equilibrium Phase Spiral CT

    A type of computed tomography whereby images are taken following administration of contrast medium. The equilibrium phase is defined as the time period in which the contrast medium has reached a stable equilibrium within the body tissues. Images taken within the equilibrium phase tend to not show a very clear contrast between structures. (NCI Thesaurus)
