Esophageal Carcinoma
Definition 1
A malignant epithelial tumor arising from the esophageal mucosa. Two major histologic types of esophageal carcinoma have been described: squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. This type of cancer is associated with excessive ethanol and cigarette usage. (NCI Thesaurus)

Cancer that forms in tissues lining the esophagus (the muscular tube through which food passes from the throat to the stomach).
