EWS/FLI 1 Type 8
An antisense oligonucleotide that targets the type 8 form of EWS/FLI-1, an oncogenic fusion gene found in Ewing's sarcoma and primitive neuro-ectodermal tumor that results from a t(11;22) chromosomal translocation. EWS/FLI 1 type 8 antisense oligonucleotide inhibits the expression of the EWS/FLI 1 type 8 gene and/or the translation of EWS/FLI 1 type 8 mRNA, thereby down-regulating the abnormal transcription factor and inhibiting tumor cell growth and tumorigenicity.
