    Fat Necrosis of the Mouse Mammary Gland

    Definition 1

    Lesion in the mammary gland that is a focal area of necrosis (death) of the fat cells. It is generally associated with macrophages with small lipid vacuoles in their cytoplasm and multinucleated giant cells. (NCI Thesaurus/MMHCC)
