    FGF-5:172-176 / 217-220 Peptide

A naturally occurring 9-residue peptide of fibroblast growth factor 5 (FGF-5). Recognized by tumor infiltrating cytotoxic T lymphocytes originally isolated from a renal cell carcinoma that overexpressed FGF-5, FGF-5:172-176/217-220 peptide activates various cytotoxic CD8 lymphocytes in an HLA-restricted manner. Overexpressed in several cancer cell lines, FGF-5 is a tumor-associated antigen that may be useful in cancer immunotherapy. (NCI Thesaurus)
