    Fissure of Rolando

    The double-S-shaped fold or fissure on the lateral surface of each hemisphere of the cerebral cortex. The central sulcus separates the primary somatosensory cortex from the primary motor cortex and the frontal lobe from the parietal lobe. (NCI Thesaurus)
