Globicatella sulfidifaciens
Definition 1
A species of facultatively anaerobic Gram variable cocci shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Firmicutes. This species is catalase negative, produces hydrogen sulfide, and may convert inulin to acid. G. sulfidifaciens may occur in pairs, chains or singly and is most often isolated from ruminants and pigs and is not a noted human pathogen. (NCI Thesaurus)
