    Gramicidin

    A heterogeneous mixture of six antibiotic peptides obtained from the soil bacterium Bacillus brevis. Gramicidin is active against most Gram-positive bacteria and against select Gram-negative organisms. It is administered as a topical application. (NCI Thesaurus)
