IFN Alpha Signaling Pathway
Interferon alpha plays a role in viral infections. Signaling takes place through an IFN receptor complex consisting of two alpha chains (type I receptor) complexed with Jak1 and Tyk2. These kinases phosphorylate Stat1 and Stat2 respectively. (NCI Thesaurus/BIOCARTA)
