Incident at the Moulin-Rouge, Paris
On the night of Thursday April 25, 2024, around 2 a.m., the famous wings of the Moulin-Rouge collapsed without causing any injuries.
The letters “MOU” in the name were also carried away in the falling wings.
Quickly covered by a green tarpaulin, the broken wings of the Moulin-Rouge were evacuated from the security perimeter around 8 a.m.
The building is announced as remaining open for the evening following the incident, to the expected 1,700 spectators.
Jean-Victor Clerico, general director of the Moulin-Rouge, announces that it is simply a technical problem. The management of the Moulin Rouge “ruled out any malicious act” mid-morning.
