Interleukin-17C
Expressed in activated T cells by human IL17C Gene (IL-17 Family), 197-aa 22-kDa (precursor) secreted cytokine Interleukin-17C (IL17-related) may stimulate release of TNF-alpha and IL-1beta from monocytes in inflammatory immune responses. IL17C differs from IL17 in its pattern of expression, biologic activity, and lack of interaction with IL17 receptor. (NCI Thesaurus)
