    Intraluminal intubation and dilation

    Pronunciation

    A procedure in which a plastic or metal tube is inserted through the mouth into the esophagus (the tube that carries food to the stomach) to keep it open. This procedure may be used during radiation therapy for esophageal cancer. (NCI Dictionary)
