Valuing Anger
“චතූහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ යථාභතං නික්ඛිත්තෝ ඒවං නිරයේ. කතමේහි චතූහි? කෝධගරු හෝති න සද්ධම්මගරු, මක්ඛගරු හෝති න සද්ධම්මගරු, ලාභගරු හෝති න සද්ධම්මගරු, සක්කාරගරු හෝති න සද්ධම්මගරු—ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, චතූහි ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ යථාභතං නික්ඛිත්තෝ ඒවං නිරයේ.
“Bhikkhus, someone with four qualities is cast down to hell. What four? They value anger, or denigration, or material possessions, or honor rather than the true teaching. Someone with these four qualities is cast down to hell.
චතූහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ යථාභතං නික්ඛිත්තෝ ඒවං සග්ගේ. කතමේහි චතූහි? සද්ධම්මගරු හෝති න කෝධගරු, සද්ධම්මගරු හෝති න මක්ඛගරු, සද්ධම්මගරු හෝති න ලාභගරු, සද්ධම්මගරු හෝති න සක්කාරගරු—ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, චතූහි ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ යථාභතං නික්ඛිත්තෝ ඒවං සග්ගේ”ති.
