    Leucine-Rich Repeat

    A leucine-rich protein structural motif that forms an alpha/beta horseshoe tertiary structure. It is composed of repeating units of 20-30 amino acid stretches that are rich in leucine residues. This structural motif is found in a wide variety of unrelated proteins. (NCI Thesaurus)
