    Liposomal c-raf Antisense Oligonucleotide

The liposomal formulation of a c-raf-1 antisense oligonucleotide, with potential antineoplastic activity. Liposomal c-raf antisense oligonucleotide targets the translation initiation site of human c-raf-1 mRNA, thereby blocking the expression and production of Raf-1 protein and thus inhibit tumor cell growth and development. Raf-1 plays a key role in the RAF/MEK/ERK signaling pathway, which regulates mammalian cell proliferation and growth. The liposomal formulation increases the solubility of the c-raf antisense oligonucleotide, thus improving its pharmacodynamic profile. (NCI Thesaurus)
