    “तीहि, भिक्खवे, धम्मेहि समन्नागतो तयो मले अप्पहाय यथाभतं निक्खित्तो एवं निरये। कतमेहि तीहि? दुस्सीलो च होति, दुस्सील्यमलञ्चस्स अप्पहीनं होति; इस्सुकी च होति, इस्सामलञ्चस्स अप्पहीनं होति; मच्छरी च होति, मच्छेरमलञ्चस्स अप्पहीनं होति।

    “Tīhi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato tayo male appahāya yathābhataṁ nikkhitto evaṁ niraye. Katamehi tīhi? Dussīlo ca hoti, dussīlyamalañcassa appahīnaṁ hoti; issukī ca hoti, issāmalañcassa appahīnaṁ hoti; maccharī ca hoti, maccheramalañcassa appahīnaṁ hoti.

    “Anyone who has three qualities, and has not given up three stains, is cast down to hell. What three? They’re unethical, and haven’t given up the stain of immorality. They’re jealous, and haven’t given up the stain of jealousy. They’re stingy, and haven’t given up the stain of stinginess.

    इमेहि खो, भिक्खवे, तीहि धम्मेहि समन्नागतो इमे तयो मले अप्पहाय यथाभतं निक्खित्तो एवं निरये।

    Imehi kho, bhikkhave, tīhi dhammehi samannāgato ime tayo male appahāya yathābhataṁ nikkhitto evaṁ niraye.

    Anyone who has these three qualities, and has not given up these three stains, is cast down to hell.

    तीहि, भिक्खवे, धम्मेहि समन्नागतो तयो मले पहाय यथाभतं निक्खित्तो एवं सग्गे। कतमेहि तीहि? सीलवा च होति, दुस्सील्यमलञ्चस्स पहीनं होति; अनिस्सुकी च होति, इस्सामलञ्चस्स पहीनं होति; अमच्छरी च होति, मच्छेरमलञ्चस्स पहीनं होति।

    Tīhi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato tayo male pahāya yathābhataṁ nikkhitto evaṁ sagge. Katamehi tīhi? Sīlavā ca hoti, dussīlyamalañcassa pahīnaṁ hoti; anissukī ca hoti, issāmalañcassa pahīnaṁ hoti; amaccharī ca hoti, maccheramalañcassa pahīnaṁ hoti.

    Anyone who has three qualities, and has given up three stains, is raised up to heaven. What three? They’re ethical, and have given up the stain of immorality. They’re not jealous, and have given up the stain of jealousy. They’re not stingy, and have given up the stain of stinginess.

    Tassuddānaṁ

    भयं लक्खणचिन्ती च, अच्चयञ्च अयोनिसो; अकुसलञ्च सावज्जं, सब्याबज्झखतं मलन्ति।

    Bhayaṁ lakkhaṇacintī ca, accayañca ayoniso; Akusalañca sāvajjaṁ, sabyābajjhakhataṁ malanti.
